.:About my Art:.
It’s not a big surprise that most of my art is done in Poser. I rarely use another render application like Vue d’Esprit or Carrara, as Poser is the program I need for my work and so it’s only kind of natural to use it for personal images. I’m well aware of the fact that there are far better rendering programs out there, but in the end, a good image is a good image, no matter where it’s coming from and it’s the same for bad images. The eye of the artist is all that matters. The best technical equipment won’t help if it’s not there. Art is not about bragging and about “Look at what I’ve got! I’m better than you!” it’s about touching and fascinating the viewer.
Of course – I’m doing a lot of postwork. Most plain renders don’t really look amazing when they’re coming out of their render engine and you need a lot of work to make them look the way you want. I’m usually working in Photoshop CS3 for that and my Wacom Intuos 3 is the best help for any kind of fine-tuning.
My themes are mostly fantasy based. Some are coming from my rpg and novel worlds, others are depending on my mood or on sudden ideas. I’ve read the label “dark romance images” about my art and it kind of fits. I like Victorian stuff, I love Venice and the Italian renaissance and it shows in my work. I like masks, veils and shadows, mysterious moods and underwater scenes and they form the red line that is going through my work, even though there may seem to be none. ;-)
I haven't put each and everyone of my images into this gallery. Only the ones that I liked enough are shown on this page, so if you want to have a more
thorough look at my work with all of its good and back examples, I recommend the following galleries:
